Maybe I just don't get it...

OK... so is it wrong that I totally agree with this law? Let's get some of the guns off the streets.

You can't own a gun unless...

..It is registered
.You are fingerprinted
.You supply a current Driver's License
.You supply your Social Security #
.You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
.Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25

- Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.


OK! Well, we own guns and we both have current socials and DL's and wouldn't mind being fingerprinted! We have nothing to hide. And if you do... then maybe you shouldn't own one. And why would someone argue with: The Government would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs, in prison.
??? because let's PLEASE eliminate these 14 year olds on the streets with guns or the 10 yr olds that find daddys gun and shoot their little brother on accident. "Guns don't kill people, People do." So, how about we make it a little harder on those people that would?!

In Oakland: "Blue's 1-year-old daughter, Prosperity, was one of three children shot around 2 p.m. Saturday as they crossed the street at International Boulevard and 64th Avenue, police said.

The other wounded children were a 4-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy. Two women walking with the children, including Prosperity's aunt pushing the girl in a stroller, were uninjured.

Investigators said Sunday they believed the children were caught in the crossfire of an attack meant for a group of young men nearby."


Why would you argue against laws that are going to make it harder for people like THAT to get guns??

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not. If you LOVE your country as it was intended by our founding fathers, and that people kill not the gun then take a stand for yourself and many others. Because if they get this through then only the lawless will have guns. And if you belive in all of our constitution then you should fight aginst this HR.
